During its first 15 years, Winner Medical Group has developed into a diversified business enterprise with eight wholly owned manufacturing and distribution facilities and two factories owned as joint ventures. The company’s headquarters is situated in the Shenzhen Special Economic Zone. WMG’s annual revenues in fiscal year 2006 approached $64 million, with operations yielding a net income of $5.8 million. The company is headed by JianquanLi, CEO, president and director, and XiuyuanFang, CFO and treasurer(pictured together above, top left). The corporate entity includes research, scientific development, production and trading capabilities. WMG’s production capabilities include gauze production lines, cosmetic cotton production lines, elastic and adhesive bandage production lines, packaging lines and steam/ETO sterilization chambers in different factories. The production system ranges from spinning, weaving gauze and bleaching the fabrics to the integrated, in-line processing of finished products. WMG’s primary product categories include surgical dressings, dressing packs, surgical packs (kits), wound care dressings, nonwoven products, protective products, medical disposables and other industrial hygiene, home care and personal use products. Ninety percent of WMG’s products are currently exported to 80 countries throughout the world, with the concentration of its volume in OEM channels in the developed markets of Europe, Japan and the U.S. Among the U.S. Fortune 500 companies, Tyco Healthcare and Cardinal Healthcare are WMG partners. The company has been ranked the number one Chinese company in terms of earning foreign exchange income in the same trade category for three consecutive years. Winner Medical Group is one of the few medical product companies in China to be registered with the FDA. It was also the first Chinese medical product company to earn the following quality certifications: ISO 9001:2000, ISO 13485:2003 and CE by TUV PS in Germany. WMG is currently licensed by FDA to export sterilized disposable medical products direct to customers in the U.S. WMG has built its business by focusing on high product quality, manufacturing and distribution efficiency and strong customer service. WMG has assembled a broad offering of medical disposable products and its goods are increasingly becoming recognized for their consistent quality in helping to improve the safety and efficacy of patient treatment worldwide. WMG has gained recognition among customers and hospitals for its products’ reliability and quality, for the advanced nature of its commodities packaging and for the safety of its sterilization processing. The Winner brand is registered in China as applicable to five different product categories, and at the same time, WMG has registered its brand name and trademarks in other countries and regions across the world. Winner’s investment in continuous quality improvement and technology innovation has produced several product breakthroughs, which offer customers both improved product quality and increased value added at comparatively low costs. The company’s new nonwoven cotton spunlace product, PurCotton, for example, offers customers of WMG’s gauze products new variations with all the advantages of woven cotton gauze and none of the disadvantages, contributing to greater efficacy and lower post-procedure complication rates for patients.
